SPEED LIMITER ENFORCEMENT


FRSC mandates the installation of speed limiters on commercial vehicles to reduce speed-related crashes, which are a major cause of road accidents. Compliance with this policy helps maintain road safety nationwide.

NATIONAL VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM (NVIS)


NVIS is a centralized database for vehicle registration that ensures proper documentation, tracking, and security of vehicles in Nigeria. It helps in combating vehicle theft and improving traffic management.

NATIONAL DRIVERS LICENSE


FRSC oversees the issuance of the National Driver's License, ensuring that drivers are tested and qualified before obtaining valid licenses. This enhances road safety by reducing untrained drivers.

FRSC SIGNAGE PLANT


The FRSC established a signage production plant in Gwagwalada, Abuja, in December 2018 to address the shortage of road signs in Nigeria. The plant produces standardized, high-quality road signs to improve road safety and reduce the dangers of road signs on Nigerian roads.

FRSC HOUSING SCHEME


This initiative provides affordable housing for FRSC officers and staff, enhancing their welfare, boosting morale, and supporting staff retention. It is aimed at improving the general living conditions of personnel.

The FRSC Post Service Scheme (PSS) is an initiative designed to secure the financial future of officers and staff after retirement or dismissal. It provides welfare and support to retirees.

FRSC STRATEGIC BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT UNIT (SBU)


The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) established the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) to enhance investment initiatives and generate revenue under Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed. This initiative aims to improve staff welfare and sustain the FRSC for better service delivery and to reduce its funding legacy.

FRSC ROAD SIDE CLINICS


FRSC Roadside clinics offer emergency care to victims of road traffic crashes. They also provide general health care services to members of the communities where they are located.

EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE SCHEME (EASS) ZEBRA


The Corps has established an Emergency Ambulance Service Scheme (EASS) to provide prompt response to crashes on highways across Nigeria. Under the Zebra scheme, ambulances are strategically stationed at designated points along major routes nationwide to respond promptly to emergencies. Members of the public can call the emergency toll-free number 122 to seek for help or report crashes promptly and emergencies.
