Chidoka expressed satisfaction with the contributions being made by Special Marshals in the country to the success of the Corps’ campaigns against road traffic crashes but observed that “the Special Marshals’ regalia would no longer be permanent to anyone and only those who were committed to the ideals of volunteerism would retain it”.

“We will embark on regular monitoring of the activities of the units and individuals’ participation to determine those that would remain in the service. Anyone found to have undermined the ideals of the service will not be spared”, he said.

The Corps Marshal also enumerated the different steps being taken by his management to reposition the Corps and make it “one of the high performing government agencies in the country”.
