FRSC STAFF PENSION SCEHME PRESENTS ONE MILLION NAIRA IN KANO
Management of the Federal Road Safety Commission has reiterated its resolve to reposition the Group Personal Accident Scheme to adequately cater for staff victims of accident in the course of their official assignment.
This was brought to light by the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive of the Commission, Mr. Osita Chidoka at the second quarter meeting of the Trustees of the FRSC pension scheme in Kano State.
The Corps Marshal also urged every staff of the Commission to register with the Pension Fund Administrator in order to have easy access to their retirement savings account when they leave the public service.
While presenting cheques for Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme to next of kin of some deceased staff of the Kano State Command who were shot by armed robbers on 11 April, 2007 while on duty, Mr. Chidoka commiserated with the affected families adding that the Commission has concluded plans with the National Pension Commission to ensure that the statutory entitlements of the deceased staff are paid.
A total sum of One Million Naira was presented in cheques among next of kins of the deceased staff.
