CORPS MARSHAL VISITS NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
 |
The Senate President, David Mark has advocated for more stiffer measures to be introduced in order to elicit better attitudinal change from the Nigeria motoring public.
Making this remark during a courtesy visit by the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Osita Chidoka, the Senate President urged Management of the Commission to intensify public enlightenment campaigns for road users and retraining of its personnel in order to cope with contemporary challenges in traffic management. |
In his response, the Corps Marshal frowned at the spate of increase in road traffic accidents in the country and stated that part of the FRSC Management policy thrust is to restore the integrity of Nigeria drivers and inject sanity in the processing and issuance of driver’s license.
In a related development, the Speaker House of Representatives, Mrs. Patricia Etteh urged the FRSC Management to place more emphasis on efficient service delivery in order to make the desired impact on the nation’s road transport system.
