FRSC RECOVERS TWENTY SEVEN MILLION NAIRA (N27M) FROM ACCIDENT SCENE

The Federal Road Safety Commission in Kaduna State on Tuesday, 27 th January 2008 recovered over twenty seven million naira from the scene of an accident involving a bullion van belonging to Unity Bank Plc along the Kaduna - Zaria road.
The accident occurred at about 1120HRS when the bullion vans tyre busted and the vehicle somersaulted several times before crashing into a tree killing the Escort Police Sergeant in the process and the driver seriously injured. The injured driver was taken to St Gerald Catholic Hospital, Kaduna by the FRSC Patrol team while the corpse of the dead escort police sergeant was conveyed to Zaria and handed over to his station.
Meanwhile, the management of the Unity Bank Plc has sent a letter of appreciation to the Kaduna State Sector Command of the Federal Road safety Commission over the incidence. In a letter signed by the Branch Head of the Bank, Amina Kunte and addressed to the then Sector commander, Nseobong Akpabio on behalf of the FRSC, the Bank commends his leadership quality and organizational acumen in the discharge of his duties which according to her, shall remain a shining example to our generation
KOGI FRSC CARRIES PUBLIC ENLIGHTENMENT TO CHURCHES

The Federal Road safety Commission in Kogi State has extended its road safety public enlightenment to churches in the state as a strategy towards educating more people on the causes and prevention of Road Traffic Accidents. The command led by its Sector Commander was at the Christ Apostolic Church, Lokoja with the theme, “CAUSES OF ACCIDENTS ON OUR HIGHWAYS AND HOW TO PRVENT THEM”. Public Education and enlightenment Programme are strategy used by FRSC to reach out to the citizenry on the activities of the Commission with respect to better road practices and road traffic accident reduction on Nigerian highways.
