FRSC PLANS ABUJA INTERNATIONAL MARATHON RACE

Further to its renewed determination towards optimal performance and healthy workforce, Management of the Federal Road Safety Commission has concluded plans to organize an annual International Marathon in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

Speaking, during the maiden FRSC monthly walking/jogging exercise in collaboration with Aso Savings & Loans PLC, the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive of the FRSC Osita Chidoka disclosed that the monthly exercise is geared towards metamorphosing into an International event to attract global attention and participation in the jogging exercise in order to keep FRSC staff and the Nigerian public in a sound frame of mind.

According to the Corps Marshal “We want to have Officers that are very fit as our job as Federal Road Safety Commission is safety of lives on the road and we thought that part of the way of continuously raising awareness of the public about our vision is to have events that bring us together to interact with the public.

On the proposed marathon, Chidoka said that the FRSC is still working out the modalities with Aso Savings and Loans PLC for the jogging exercise and implored the Commission to ensure its extension to other FRSC formations across the country.
