LEARNERS PERMIT

FRESH APPLICATION: (for persons who are obtaining Drivers Licence for the first time)

Requirement:

  • Applicants for a Learners Permit shall pay a prescribed fee of  N250 and shall be granted a Learners Permit which shall entitle the learner (provided he/she is accompanied by a licensed driver-instructor sitting beside him/her when driving) to drive for a period not exceeding 3 months from the date of issuance of the Learners Permit, within the highways specified in the permit and shall be tested after 3 issues of the Permit.
  • The applicant will report for driving test at a Road Traffic Office upon possession of a Learners Permit.
  • The applicant is required to pass a driving test and be issued with a certificate stating group of Licence before issuing a Licence.
  • Applicant must obtain certificate of vision acuity and general fitness examination from a government Hospital.
  • Having passes the Driving Test, applicant will obtain Form 18N from Licensing Office upon payment of prescribed fess of (currently N3,000.00) and submit same after completion.
  • Application forms will be forwarded to FRSC Processing centre and applicants are given dates for physical captured.
